Cities & Memory is an ongoing series loosely based on Italo Calvino’s 1972 novel Invisible Cities. The photographs in this series, mostly taken on 35mm with some on 120 medium format film, attempt to capture the mystery of travel and the importance of the people that we experience places with. They explore the ephemeral experience of traveling, including the thrill of seeing new places, how new experiences live on in our memories and the way traveling enhances and alters our understanding of the places we call home.
